Our Team Meetings
Our team meetings in the practice are far more than just mandatory appointments – they are a key element for efficient, patient-focused, and stress-free practice organization.
They take place once a month and typically last one and a half hours. Minutes are taken of each meeting so that even those who were absent that day know what was discussed.
These are the goals of our meetings
1. Optimization of internal communication
- Avoids misunderstandings between assistants, administration, dentists, and the prophylaxis team.
- Information about vacation planning, new equipment, hygiene requirements, or patient feedback can be communicated in a structured and consistent manner.
- Clarity regarding daily routines, responsibilities, and priorities.
2. Increased team satisfaction and motivation
- Employees are heard and valued when they contribute their perspectives, which is exactly what they should do.
- Open discussions promote trust within the team.
- Early identification and resolution of conflicts or sources of frustration.
3. Improvement of patient care
- Joint discussion of special cases or sensitive patients (e.g., anxious patients, children, those in need of care).
- Optimal coordination between the dentist and assistant ensures smooth processes.
- Planning of individual treatment concepts within the team is possible.
4. Quality Management and Training
- Regular training on topics such as hygiene, data protection, documentation, and occupational safety.
- Discussion of quality management measures and their implementation.
- Feedback on previous work: What is going well? Where is there potential for improvement?
- Training on new treatment methods and procedures.
5. Organization & Efficiency Improvement
- Joint planning of activities: e.g., recall system, social media, practice campaigns.
- Better coordination of consultation hours, vacation replacements, and emergency services.
- Process problems (e.g., waiting times) are analyzed and resolved jointly.
We have understood
Our regular team meetings aren’t a waste of time, but rather the key to a successful practice. They strengthen collaboration, improve workflows, and ensure that not only the team but also the patients are well looked after.

This is what our team meeting looks like.
Our two Americans already understand a lot of German, but we also hold part of the team meeting in English.
